NCC – Aims and Objectives
National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a tri-services organisation, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force.
National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the second line of defence.
It is a voluntary organisation which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. These cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. NCC plays a significant role in shaping the youth of the country into responsible and disciplined citizens.

Unity nurtures teamwork, while discipline builds character and leadership. This motto guides NCC activities like drills and social service.
Aims of NCC
→ To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship, and the ideals of selfless service among youth to make them useful citizens.
→ To create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all aspects of life, including the Armed Forces, and who can always be available for service of the nation.
Enrollment into the NCC is on a voluntary basis, and JD students, both boys and girls, can join the Junior Division / Junior Wing (JW), generally from Class VIII to XI.
Establishment of NCC at Our School
Our school introduced the National Cadet Corps in the year 2019 in collaboration with 38 UP Battalion NCC, Hapur, under Ghaziabad Group Headquarters and Uttar Pradesh Directorate (UP Dte), with its main headquarters located in New Delhi.
Since 2019, more than 124 cadets have proudly earned their NCC ‘A’ certificate, and over dedicated cadets are currently undergoing training.
National Cadet Corps in our school was established with a clear vision to foster discipline, leadership, and a sense of unity and patriotism in the young minds of upcoming India. Through dedicated training schedules, well-structured activities and guidance from our Associate NCC Officer (ANO) and instructors, the NCC unit has grown into a disciplined and dynamic wing of our institution.
Training Structure and Camps
In the programme of the National Cadet Corps, our school offers a well-structured training programme to all cadets, which entirely focuses on building character, skills and fitness.
Weekly parade sessions are conducted to enhance cadets’ coordination, alertness and overall physical strength. To strengthen their knowledge about NCC, theory classes are also conducted, covering social awareness, disaster management, health and hygiene, and other essential topics.
Each year, NCC organises a variety of camps to give cadets practical exposure beyond their regular ground practices. Camps play a crucial role in fostering qualities like teamwork, cooperation and cultural understanding. During camps, cadets are introduced to weapons and practical concepts like map reading. They also get opportunities to take part in social activities like blood donation camps.
Cadets receive expert guidance in every field, such as disaster management. All these factors help a cadet to become independent, responsible and confident.
Activities Conducted by NCC
The National Cadet Corps unit of our school conducts a wide range of activities throughout the year which encourage cadets to develop social awareness and understand their social responsibilities.
Cadets engage in various social and cultural activities. They have participated in cleanliness programmes such as the National Mission for Clean Ganga and celebrated Constitution Day to spread awareness about the history of the Indian Constitution. They have also been trained through mock exercises to handle situations arising due to natural calamities.
Along with these social acts, they also participate in cultural activities like nukkad natak, skits, poster rallies and public speeches to spread awareness on topics such as health, environmental protection and national civic awareness.
Cadets also participate in school events such as piloting on Republic Day and Independence Day, performing parade on the occasion of the Annual Sports Meet, and taking part in Guard of Honour and flag hoisting duties.
Through such activities, NCC cadets of our school become aware and responsible citizens and uphold the honour of the school.

At the individual level, the biggest advantage offered by NCC is overall self-development. This includes discipline, teamwork, leadership and commitment. NCC also builds physical and mental fitness. Activities such as drills, PT and trekking enhance stamina, strength and endurance. Exposure to challenges, especially during camps, helps cadets build mental toughness, patience and calmness during difficult situations.

In defence services such as the Army, Air Force and Navy, cadets receive relaxation in physical tests, bonus marks, priority in SSB interviews, and in some cases, direct entry benefits for certain posts.
In the corporate world, NCC cadets are preferred due to qualities such as teamwork, discipline, punctuality and adaptability. These qualities help cadets perform better in group discussions, interviews and organisational environments.
