Meditation has become an integral and valued part of life at our school.
In July 2023, our school introduced a structured meditation program, and since then, it has positively influenced students in many ways—mentally, emotionally, and academically.
Every morning, during the zero period just after the school prayer, students practice meditation. This daily practice helps us to begin our day with a calm, focused, and positive mindset.
Along with regular meditation, our school also organises special meditation programmes from time to time, conducted by experienced meditation teachers from all around the world. These sessions give us a deeper understanding of meditation and help us practice it in the right way.
For the past three years, meditation teachers have been continuously guiding and supporting us. They not only conduct sessions but also interact with students and clear any doubts related to meditation. If a student faces difficulty in concentration or understanding a particular technique, the meditation teachers patiently explain and guide them. This makes the learning process comfortable and meaningful for everyone.
The meditation programme at our school is also a part of CBE (Consciousness-Based Education), an initiative promoted by meditation teachers to create a positive, aware, and balanced society. Through CBE, CBSE students are encouraged to develop inner awareness, emotional intelligence, and positive thinking, which helps them to grow not only as good students but also as responsible individuals.
Our teachers play an important role by motivating us to practice meditation sincerely and regularly. During meditation, we are guided with Siddhi Sutra and mantras, which help improve focus, discipline, and inner awareness. With proper guidance, meditation has become a habit rather than just an activity.
The meditation programme in our school begins from Class 6 and continues till Class 12, allowing students to experience long-term benefits. Over the years, many students have noticed improvements such as better concentration, reduced stress, emotional stability, self-control, and increased confidence.
From my personal experience, meditation has helped me to stay calm during stressful situations, especially during exams and busy school days. It has improved my ability to focus and think clearly, and it has also taught me the importance of maintaining inner peace in daily life.
Through this meditation initiative and the principles of Consciousness-Based Education, our school strongly believes in nurturing not only academic excellence but also the mental, emotional, and social well-being of students. This programme truly reflects our school’s vision of shaping mindful, disciplined, and positive individuals who contribute to society in a meaningful way.
