Throughout the year 2025, various cultural activities were organized in Dev Memorial Public School, where students from every wing were encouraged to participate with confidence and curiosity, each celebration was planned in a simple and helpful manner so that learning could be naturally experienced through performances.
Remembering History Through Understanding
“History is remembered when its lessons are understood”.
On 13 April 2025, The primary wing presented a short act on the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. The incident was shown respectfully to help the students understand courage, sacrifice and the value of freedom. The act was kept simple, but its message was strong.
Learning to Care for the Planet
“The Earth gives everything, and small efforts return a lot”.
On 22 April 2025, Earth Day was celebrated. A dance- plus-act remix was performed by the junior wing, through which the importance of saving nature was expressed. Students shared that care for the planet can start with small steps.
Respecting the Spirit of Labour
“Every Worker shapes our world silently”
On 1 May 2025, International Labour Day was marked through an act by the junior students. Respect for Labour, dignity and gratitude was Highlighted.
Celebrating Motherhood
In the same month, Mother’s Day was celebrated and observed with a dance on “Aisi Hoti Hai Maa” performed by junior wing students of class 6-8. The performance was dedicated to the unconditional love of Mothers.
Learning Values Through Festivals
“Festivals teach us goodness in the simplest way”
Durga Asthami is celebrated as the Goddess of Durga’s Victory over evil, teaching, strength, courage, goodness, and the significance of choosing truth and describing all the nine forms of Maa Durga.
During Durga Asthami, the pre-primary Wing presented a colourful dance. A short explanation about the festival was shared in an easy way, highlighting that good always wins over negativity.
Creativity and Cultural Expression
“Creativity binds hearts”
On 9 August 2025, the Rakhi Making Competition was organized for primary, junior and senior wings for pre-primary wing related activities.Rakhis were designed with creativity, on the meaningful themes which were decided by mentors. The meaning of the festival is beautifully reflected in the art.
Independence Day Celebration
“Freedom Shines brighter when celebrated together.”
The Independence day Celebration on 15 August 2025 was conducted with pride. Our Chief Guest, Mr.Lokesh Kumar was Welcomed with warm greetings.
Shastra
Salami was given by NCC Cadets, followed by flag hoisting along with national anthem speeches by chief guest and chairman sir, patriotic songs,dance were presented. Everyone contributed to make the day more memorable.

Celebrating Krishna Janmasthmi
“kindness was the lesson, joy was the expression”
On 16 August 2025,Krishna Janmasthmi was celebrated Krishna Janmasthmi marks Lord Krishna’s Birth and is celebrated to honour his teaching of love, kindness, truth and protection of goodness.
It was celebrated with dances by the pre-primary and primary students. Short explanations about Lord Krishna’s values- truth, love and innocence- were shared.
Diwali Celebration and Creativity
“Lighting lamp means Spreading Positivity”.
On 17 October 2025, the Diwali Celebration was conducted with card making, diya making, thali decoration, kalash decoration and Rangoli making competitions These activities were participated in by kindergarten,Primary, junior and Senior wing students. And their creativity made the celebration brighter. The idea of Celebrating a bright and safe Diwali was emphasized.
Children’s Day Celebration
“Childhood is the Most Beautiful Chapter of life” Nandini Tyagi (XI-A) Vice Abhivyakti
On 14 November 2025, Children’s Day was celebrated with joy. The primary wing students presented a cheerful dance, and a special song was performed by teachers for the students to shower love. wishes and blessings on them.
Pt.Nehru Jayanti was celebrated on the same day, and the significance of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru’s Love for children was briefly shared, making the celebration more meaningful. A respectful Tribute was given to Nehru Ji, and his values were shared respectfully.
Remembering Sacrifice and Bravery
“Sacrifice reminds us of Bravery”
On 24 November 2025, Guru Tegh Bahadur’s Martyrdom Day. It reminded everyone of the bravery and sacrifice of shaheed Tegh Bahadur.
His story of courage was explained to students emotionally. A short presentation was given by junior and senior students. An act was performed to show his dedication.
A tribute was paid, and respect expressed. Students shared values learnt, poems were recited, explanation of his life was described and expressed.
A floral tribute was offered to Shaheed Guru Tegh Bahadur, and deep respect was expressed for his bravery, sacrifice, courage and patriotism. A silence was kept in his memory.
Conclusion
Our Schools organize these activities to provide students with first hand experience of History, culture, and great personalities, creativity, confidence, teamwork, and life lessons that go beyond text books.
